(Tallahassee, FL) – Candidates for the United States House of Representatives today filed their qualifying papers through the Florida Department of State’s Division of Elections by today’s noon deadline. Go to www.On3PR.com to see the list of candidates who will appear on the August 26th Primary Election ballot and/or the November 4th General Election ballot.

Congratulations to Republican Congressmen Gus Bilirakis (R-12), Mario Diaz-Balart (R-25) and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-27) along with Democrat Congresswoman Kathy Castor (D-14) who are automatically re-elected without opposition.

Newly elected Congressman David Jolly (R-13) faces a write-in, no party affiliation and a Libertarian candidate in the general election. There also remains a June 24th special election in the 19th Congressional District to replace Congressman Trey Radel who resigned his seat in January.

On 3 Public Relations spreadsheet also shows campaign finance totals through the federal April Quarterly Report which covers cumulative totals through March 31, 2014. Federal financial numbers were compiled via the Federal Election Commission (www.fec.gov) website. Qualifying data is still unconfirmed until certified by the Florida Department of State.

The qualifying period for state and local offices begins noon, Monday, June 16 through noon, Friday, June 20, 2014.
