TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Sept. 8, 2014) — Dress for Success Tallahassee, a non-profit affiliate chapter of Dress for Success Worldwide, will host Ladies Night– Moulin Rouge Style on Oct. 16 from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Mint Lounge to raise funds to expand services for Dress for Success Tallahassee clients. Dress for Success Tallahassee provides free, new and gently used professional attire to low-income, unemployed and underemployed women in the community who are interviewing or are newly employed. Dress for Success Tallahassee currently works with more than 16 community partners who refer women for these services. However, Dress for Success Tallahassee is more than just a professional clothing closet. Since 2011, Dress for Success Tallahassee has offered the Going Places Network (GPN) by Wal-Mart, a free workforce readiness class to its clients. GPN students participate in mock interviews, learn how to craft a resume and cover letter, hone their job search and computer skills, and network with professionals in the community.
“Dress for Success Tallahassee helps equip women with tools they need to enter the workforce with confidence,” says Karen Moore, APR, CPRC, Founder and CEO of Moore Communications Group and Dress for Success Tallahassee Advisory Board Member. “Supporting this event sends a powerful message about our community working together to empower all women to achieve their career goals and contribute to our community.”
“The Tallahassee community has embraced us and has made it possible for us to suit nearly 600 job-ready women since August 2010,” said Wendy Hedrick, Founder of Dress for Success Tallahassee. “Ladies Night is an opportunity for women in Tallahassee to enjoy a fun night out while directly impacting and bettering the lives of women in their community.”

The first 100 women to purchase tickets will receive a premier gift bag at the door that includes product samples, discounts and much more. Ladies Night proceeds will directly benefit the Dress for Success Tallahassee program.
