Linking Florida with discounted Internet services

COVID-19 has forced all Floridians to make lifestyle changes, including new ways of interacting with our friends, families, colleagues and customers. Now, families face the task of determining how Florida’s more than 2.7 million kindergarten through high school students and teachers can begin the new school year in a safe and thriving environment.

Florida Internet and Television (FIT), representing Florida’s five major internet providers, is finding ways to further provide essential internet services that are critical for students to continue another year of education — whether that is learning from home or completing homework at the kitchen table at the end of the school day.

FIT members are working tirelessly to further bridge the digital divide by offering Floridians discounted internet service for around $15 per month. Those who are public housing residents, low-income veterans, seniors, students and low-income households may qualify for programs like Comcast Internet Essentials, Cox Connect2Compete and Spectrum Internet Assist. Please go to LinkingFlorida.com to learn more about how we are helping to bridge the digital divide and keeping Florida linked.
