(Orlando, Fla.) – In support of ‘Orlando United Day — A Day of Love and Kindness’ Uber will be offering free rides (up to $15 each) to and from the Orlando Love: Remembering Our Angels ceremony at Lake Eola Park at 7:00 p.m., and the Public Community Gathering Moments of Hope and Healing ceremony at the Pulse Nightclub site at 10:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017. The Uber promo code (UnitedDay) for the free rides (up to $15 each) will be available beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Monday and end at 2:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 13.

“It is important for the Uber community to participate in the ‘Orlando United Day,’” said Kasra Moshkani, General Manager, Uber Florida. “We stand with Central Florida to honor the memory of the victims, support survivors and recognize the community’s compassion by making it easier for people to attend remembrance gatherings throughout Central Florida.”

Uber releases the following details and information on how to get to and from the memorial services:

  • Promo Code: UNITEDDAY
  • Promo Details: In support of Orlando’s United Day, use promo code UNITEDDAY for free rides (up to $15 each) to the Orlando Love event at Lake Eola Park, the Pulse Nightclub Public Community Gathering immediately afterward, and home after both events.
  • Time for Promo Code: Starting Monday, June 12 at 5:00 p.m. and ending at 2:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 13, 2017
  • Note: The credit will only be applied to rides ending or beginning at the two locations listed above and during the times listed above.

Some Uber safety rules to keep in mind during Orlando United Day:

  • Know Your Uber: There will be multiple people requesting rides during the services, so make sure you get into the right car with the right driver. Double check your driver’s car model, license plate, and photo in the app before getting in the car. Uber rides can only be requested through the app, so never accept solicitations from those claiming to be Uber.
  • Share Your Trip Details: Need to let friends, family or your group know when you’ll arrive? Share your trip details with them from the app so they know where you are in real time and when you’ve safely arrived.
  • Contact Support: Don’t worry, you can contact your driver directly in the app to track down a lost item. Or contact our Help Center for all other issues. Trust your instincts and be aware of your surroundings. For emergencies always call 911.
  • Be Kind and Respectful: Please be considerate of your driver. Respect their vehicle and follow our Community Guidelines so that everyone can enjoy the ride.
