Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association President and Chief Executive Officer Carol Dover moderated a panel discussion about online travel companies at a Friday board meeting in Orlando.
Rep. Rick Kriseman, D-St. Petersburg, was among the panelists.
A measure discussed during the 2011 legislative session would have created a tax advantage for out-of-state OTCs such as Expedia and Orbitz. The bill passed the House but died in the Senate.
The FRLA opposes any similar effort to create such a tax advantage in the future, the organization said in a statement.
