(Tallahassee, Fla.) – With Independence Day right around the corner, the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA), along with the Florida Beef Council, Cheney Brothers and VISIT FLORIDA, urge Tallahassee residents and visitors to stop by one of the 19 participating restaurants on the Tallahassee Burger Trail to not only order a savory sample of these specialty burgers, but also for a chance to win prizes while supporting local establishments.

Going on now through Friday, July 31, 2015, diners in the Capital City are encouraged to snap a photo while enjoying local variations of the all-American hamburger, and then share the image on Instagram, Facebook and/or Twitter using the social media hashtag TallyBurgerTrail. Photographs using the hashtag will be automatically entered to win weekly prizes such as grilling packages, restaurant gift cards, t-shirts and more.

“With most Floridians grilling at home this holiday weekend, we encourage these backyard chefs to take the week off from the kitchen and try one of the 19 unique burger choices right here in Tallahassee,” said Carol Dover, President and CEO of FRLA. “There’s no better way to spark ones culinary creativity for the July 4 holiday menu than to sample what local restaurateurs are featuring during the Tallahassee Burger Trail.”

Sponsors of the local economic development effort aired a radio advertisement this month, encouraging residents to “get on” the Tallahassee Burger Trail. The ad, titled ‘I’m Hungry’ runs through June 30. The script is provided below.
